Putting the words “historical” and “modernism” together in the title of this post seems like a contradiction but modernism in architecture does indeed have its own history. The Historic Columbia Foundation recognized a home that is one of Beau Clowney’s designs as a historical landmark because it pays homage to the modernism of the 1930’s and 40’s.
