Beth Woodson and Kristy Woodson Harvey posted a nice article about Beau Clowney Architects on their blog, Design Chic.  Click Here to read it.

Putting the words “historical” and “modernism” together in the title of this post seems like a contradiction but modernism in architecture does indeed have its own history.  The Historic Columbia Foundation recognized a home that is one of Beau Clowney’s designs as a historical landmark because it pays homage to the modernism of the 1930’s and 40’s.  Read more about it here.

The Coral House was mentioned in an earlier blog post.  It is a renovation project we’ve been working on in the Bahamas and it turned out beautiful.   Take a photo tour on Chassity Evan’s “Look, Linger, Love” post or maybe even go on vacation to the Bahamas and stay there yourself – it can be rented on VRBO.

Thank you Mimi Read for writing about this home designed by Beau Clowney Architects. It has a certain tropical island elegance to it that pays homage to Charleston’s roots. “Tour This Breezy South Carolina Beach House” yourself.  The photos are beautiful.IMG_9848

Thank you Ellen McGauley for interviewing Beau Clowney for Coastal Living Magazine. Read the article “3 Things You Should Know Before Renovating a Beach House, According to Charleston Architect Beau Clowney” to find out what Beau says.

Thank you to our friends over at Polycor, who in their blog post entitled “The Ultimate Kitchen and Bath Upgrade, Custom Fabricated Natural Stone Sinks,” featured a custom white cherokee marble sink that was created from the design and drawings of our architects, Beau Clowney and Kate Campbell.  Read more about how we were inspired by a photo of an antique marble sink to envision this beautiful solid piece.
